And to give you an idea of the magnitude of this mobile market let me show you the reports made by the International Telecommunication Union on its 2009 Global ICT Development Index, where it reported that for the year 2009, 19.12% of the world’s population were active PC Users. That is 1.7 Billion PC users worldwide.
But now take a look at this: For the same year it reported that 51.47% of the world’s population where active cell phone subscribers. That is 4.6 Billion Mobile Phone Users for the year 2009. Putting things in perspective, you are looking at three times more people using their cell phones than using their personal computers.
